Jim & Mike
Sometimes called ‘the voice of the valley’, Jim Bock began his radio career in 1979. With experience in radio, cable television and marketing, he’s spent his entire life in the town he loves.
Jim attended Walla Walla University with advanced studies at San Diego University. A background in communications and drama has led Jim to theatrical stages in Walla Walla, Portland, Spokane and London, England. He has been active in the Little Theater of Walla Walla as both an actor and director.
Jim is well known as the long time announcer for the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede.
He’s served on many boards and committees including United Way, College Place PTA, the Walla Walla Exchange Club and the Little Theater.
Jim is very happily married to Ester and has one son, Brandon by a previous marriage. His extended family now includes three sons and daughters-in-law and 5 grandchildren.
His unabashed boosterism of the Walla Walla valley and his interest in its people are manifest every morning on KUJ’s ‘Walla Walla Live with Jim Bock’.
